Christies Beach road closures

Motorists and residents in Christies Beach are advised of several temporary road closures on Sunday 23 November 2025 for the City of Onkaparinga Christmas Pageant.


The closures will affect streets around Beach Road, Esplanade and nearby side streets across the morning and early afternoon, and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra time and avoid the area where possible.

Road closures: 7.00am to midday

The following roads will be closed between 7.00am and midday:

  • Christie Avenue, between Petersen Crescent and Hunt Crescent
  • Fuller Terrace, between Beach Road and Deemster Avenue
  • Overland Terrace, between Beach Road and Deemster Avenue
  • Roy Terrace, between Beach Road and Deemster Avenue
  • Clement Terrace, between Beach Road and Maturin Avenue
  • Hunt Crescent, in its entirety
  • Saltash Avenue, between Hooper Place and Hunt Crescent
  • Hooper Place, between Hunt Crescent and Oldfield Avenue
  • Davenport Street, between Beach Road and the Woolworths driveway access
  • Fowey Street, between Beach Road and Saltash Avenue
  • Taunton Parade, between Beach Road and Saltash Avenue
  • Witton Road, between Beach Road and Saxon Avenue
  • Beach Road, between Esplanade and Price Street

Road closures: 7.00am to 2.00pm

The following roads will be closed between 7.00am and 2.00pm:

  • Beach Road, between Witton Road and Esplanade
  • Grundy Terrace, between Beach Road and Maturin Avenue
  • Esplanade, between Dale Avenue and Maturin Avenue

Pedestrian and safety information

An exemption has been granted to all persons taking part in the event from Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour for the duration of the pageant. All other road users and spectators must follow normal road rules and directions from traffic controllers and SA Police.


Residents within the closure area are asked to move vehicles before the closure times if they need to travel and to take extra care when entering or leaving the affected streets.
