Emergency services attended a fire at a church at Christie Downs on Saturday evening.

Just before 7.45pm on Saturday 30 March police and fire crews were called to Beach Road, Christie Downs after reports of a church on fire.

On arrival they found the building fully ablaze.

The church was not open at the time and there were no reports of injuries.

The building was extensively damaged.

Fire investigators attended and examined the scene and the fire is being treated as non-suspicious.
