Coast to Vines Rail Trail closure

A section of the Coast to Vines Rail Trail will close for three weeks, including the July school holidays.

The temporary closure for pedestrians and cyclists will be from Tuesday, 4 July  to Tuesday 25 July to facilitate work on the Main South Road Duplication project.

The 37km trail runs from the coastal suburb of Marino, through the McLaren Vale wine region, including the Shiraz Trail, and finishes in Willunga.

The section between Seaford Rise and Pedlar Road will be closed to allow work to continue on the new underpass.

There will be no crossing point at Main South Road during the three-week closure.

Works will involve demolishing a section of the exiting Coast to Vines Rail Trail, anti-graffiti painting of precast elements and asphalt works.

Signage will be in place to advise pedestrians and cyclists to alternative access.

Details of the work and a map of the affected section can be viewed online.
