Cobras stay undefeated in the Southern Football League 'A' Grade Women

Cove Cobras remain undefeated after a thrilling four-point win against reigning premier Flagstaff Hill during round three action in the Southern Football League (SFL) ‘A’ Grade Women’s competition on Friday night.  The game was tight throughout, with ‘Flaggies’ leading by just two points at the last change. The Cobras kicked the only goal of the last quarter to win 4.3 (27) to 3.5 (23). Makayla Brown kicked three goals for the Cobras, while their best players included Jaime Norup, Ella Gill, Lauren Kenny, Dana O’Brien, and Kate Galley. Best players for the Falcons were Brooke Watson, Elouisa Thomas, Amber Cloughessy, Amelia Morriss, and Chloe Meyers. 


The other three games for the round were very one-sided affairs. Christies Beach beat Noarlunga by 160 points with Cadence Bryowsky kicking six goals for the Saints, while Melanie Koster was named best-on-ground. Reynella kicked 32.21 (213) and kept Hackham scoreless in their match at Reynella. The Wine Flies had 11 different goalkickers with Tyler Davies and Georgia Scholes slotting six majors each. Port Noarlunga continued their dominant start to the season with a 188-point victory at Aldinga. ‘Porties’ had 13 different goalkickers with Jessika O’Hanlon kicking six goals in a best-on-ground performance.
