Cove wrapped up the minor premiership in the Southern Football League Women’s (SFLW) competition after defeating Reynella in a thriller by two points during round 16 action at Hallett Cove last Friday night. It was a tight game with Reynella leading at three-quarter time by three points, before the Cobras kicked two goals to one in the final term to win 3.5 (23) to 3.3 (21). Best players for Cove included Hayley Donnell, Naomi Jones, Dana O'Brien, Ashleigh Need, Angelique Dean and Ella Gill, while Emily Risitano kicked two goals. Reynella’s best players were Sienna Garner, Miller Thompson, Tabitha Melders, Jasmine Bailey, Summer Weir and Elysia Hammond.

Aldinga won their fifth game of the season after a one-point win at Blackwood on Friday night. Aldinga outlasted the finals-bound Blackwood side to win 2.6 (18) to 2.5 (17). Molly Reynolds was named best for the Sharks and she received good support from Emalia Walters, Kimberly Thomson, Daisy Barber, Holly Wilde and Summer Jenkinson. Meanwhile, best players for Blackwood included Lila Cormack-Pinder, Charlotte Brungie, Vanessa Kitto, Caitlin Harris, Rileigh Abbott and Olivia Emes.

Reigning premier Port Noarlunga warmed up for their finals assault with a convincing 92-point win at Christies Beach yesterday. Millie Beens, Nicole Campbell, Maddy Craggs, Tegan Mulvenna and Zoe Flesfadar all kicked two goals for the Cockle Divers as they won 14.14 (98) to 1.0 (6). Best players for ‘Porties’ included Campbell, Siobhan I'Dell, Eilish O’Hanlon, Flesfadar, Amber O'Hanlon and Craggs. Best for the Saints were Chloe Brooks, Maddison Payne, Tara Vivar-Hayes, Madison Marsh, Georgia Payne and Bella Wheatley.

Flagstaff Hill received a forfeit win (60 points) from Hackham.

Ironbank Cherry Gardens had the bye.
