The Cockle Train is back in limited service from today, Sunday 4 June, following its derailment on 21 May.
The train will run only between Goolwa and Port Elliot for the time being, as two carriages are still to be removed from the line between Port Elliot and Victor Harbor.
The reduced number of rail carriages available also means a limited number of tickets can be sold until full capacity resumes.
SteamRanger recommends online booking to assure a place; bookings close at midnight on the day of departure and these tickets are only available for travel from Goolwa.
It says any remaining tickets will be available for sale from Goolwa or Port Elliot stations on the day, but there are no guarantees.
SteamRanger expects the full Cockle Train service to Victor Harbor to resume in July.
