Yankalilla library’s community film project Common Threads  returns in 2022, with the whole district invited to take part.

The project shoots a series of film portraits celebrating the weatern Fleurieu’s diverse characters, histories, cultures and talents.  

The library wants to hear from aspiring filmmakers, people who would like to be interviewers, or anyone who could suggest the perfect subject to showcase.

All ages are welcome – from students to retirees - to suggest interviewees, conduct interviews and help in the production/editing of each film.

The film portraits will run around 10-12 minutes in length, and will cover the subject and their links to both the Yankalilla District and the Yankalilla library.

The library will host a public launch screening to celebrate participants’ achievements.
