South coast residents interested in learning more about Biochar are invited to join the City of Victor Harbor for a free Biochar making demonstration and information session. 

Marcy Biochar will present the workshop on Saturday 23 September from 10am to 12pm at the Council Depot  at 21-37 Greenhills Road, Victor Harbor. 

Biochar is a charcoal-like substance that has social health benefits, such as sequestering carbon in the back yard. 

At this community workshop, find out how Biochar is made and learn about its uses and benefits for the home garden. 

There will also be the opportunity to purchase a bag of Biochar on the day.
