Aldinga is on the verge of a major transformation with the announcement of a new development aimed at delivering over 800 environmentally friendly homes.

This 45-hectare, net-zero carbon community is being developed by Renewal SA in partnership with Villawood Properties, and it promises to bring sustainable living and community-driven design to the area. Construction is set to begin late next year.

Key Features of the Aldinga Development:

• 800+ high-efficiency homes: All homes will be equipped with solar panels, heat pumps, and battery storage, ensuring energy efficiency and minimising carbon footprints.
• 25 per cent affordable housing: A significant portion of the development will be dedicated to affordable housing, making sustainable living more accessible.
• Villawood Community Club: The development will feature a vibrant community hub with amenities such as a gym, swimming pool, function spaces, and recreational areas.
• Abundant open sSpace: 16 per cent of the land will be preserved as open space, with a goal of achieving a 25 per cent tree canopy, providing residents with ample green areas.
• Over 55s Lifestyle Village: This section of the development will cater to older residents, offering wellness amenities tailored to their needs.

Community Engagement Sessions

Villawood Properties is actively seeking community feedback on their draft master plan, and there are two opportunities for residents to get involved: Wednesday 23 October, from 4pm to 7pm; and

Saturday 26 October, from 11am to 2pm.

Both sessions will be held at the Aldinga Library Community Room, in Aldinga Beach. The sessions are designed to provide local residents with a chance to ask questions, offer feedback, and learn more about the project.
