Applications are now open for the District Council of Yankalilla’s community grants program.
The grants aim to support projects that strengthen the community, enhance community wellbeing and increase participation in social and leisure activities.
The program encourages projects that respond to local needs and issues; this year will see a particular focus on projects that help the community to continue to adapt, build resilience and engage through the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of $25,000 has been allocated in this financial year for the Community Grants Program with the maximum available for any given project limited to $2,500.
Applications close 30 September and will be assessed in October by a panel, which will make recommendations to the council in November.
All applicants will be advised of the outcome in December, with certificates presented at the Australia Day ceremony in January 2023.
More information about the community grants program and how to apply is available on the council website.
