A community meeting will be held to discuss ongoing issues fin the aftermath of last November’s major storm event in Middleton.
It will be held on Tuesday 21 February in the Middleton Pioneer Community Hall at 7pm.
All people affected by the stormwater and all interested people are invited to go along.
Alexandrina Council representatives will attend, and tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
The Middleton caravan park and the medical practice went under water in the November 12 storm, with many other businesses and households affected when more than 60mm of rain was dumped on the south coast in two hours.
Meeting organisers say It's an opportunity for everyone to discuss the effects of the storm, and it promises to be a very useful meeting.
Former councillor Bronwyn Lewis commented on Facebook that more than two months on from the storm the people of Middleton are struggling.
“At last Council is going to have a public meeting to look at what happened and how we can mitigate future flooding!”
“It took leadership from the ratepayers to get this to happen!”
