Community meetings for Fleurieu Coast townships

As part of District Council of Yankalilla’s commitment to working closer with communities, it will host two community consultation meetings this month.

They will focus on local issues and planning for the Cape Jervis and Myponga townships.

The council team invites the community to share their thoughts for the future.

Several groups in each township were involved in initial conversations with consultant Ben Cunningham during April.

The council says the input received was valuable in helping to frame this next step in the consultation process and now it is keen to connect as broadly as possible.

The first meeting day is on Wednesday 14 June at the Myponga Hall, with three sessions available: 10.30am to 12noon; 3pm to 5pm; and 7pm to 8.30pm.

The afternoon session at 3pm will take a youth focus.

The second meeting day will be on Wednesday 21 June at Cape Jervis Community Hall, with two sessions on offer: 3pm to 4.30pm and 7pm to 8.30pm.

A summary of the feedback gathered in 2020 is available for reference on the council’s YourSay site – select your township from the homepage.
