Federal Member for Mayo Rebekha Sharkie has presented Mayo Community Service Awards to 23 students across the electorate, including 11 on the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island.
The award is conferred to a student in high school or primary school who has demonstrated a keen interest in social justice and shown great community leadership potential.
"I congratulate all recipients and I extend my thanks to all of our young community leaders in Mayo," Rebekha says.
She announced the awards shortly before Christmas.
"I would also like to congratulate all of the students who have completed Year 12 this year.
"The year 2020 has been an incredibly challenging year and I wish you all the best for your future endeavours."
