Onkaparinga Compassionate Communities will host its first Death Cafe in Seaford on Thursday 16 February.
Onkaparinga Compassionate Communities have established a 'Life and Death Conversations' group which to promote open conversations about death, dying, grief and bereavement.
The group wants to advance these discussions in local areas across the City of Onkaparinga in safe and inviting spaces.
A Death Cafe is a place where the community gather over a cup of tea and a light snack to discuss death and dying with no particular agenda in mind.
It is not a grief support or counselling service, but a peer to peer discussion group for like-minded people.
People can attend alone or with friends and family and are encouraged you to mingle with others and keep an open mind.

The Death Café will be held in partnership with Seaford Community Centre from 11am to 2pm.
Light refreshments will be provided; bookings are essential, via Eventbrite.
