Consultation on coastal adaptation

Alexandrina Council has commissioned a coastal adaptation study to map current and future coastal processes and what it might mean for public and private assets into the future.

The council area includes a unique coastline with sandy beaches, small coves, rocky outcrops and estuarine environments.

It will host three community webinars so residents can learn more about the results of the council study.

They will be held as online events in November with the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.

The first webinar on the Murray Estuary and Hindmarsh Island will be on Tuesday 3 November from 6.30 to 8.30pm.

Goolwa and Middleton will be covered in webinar two on Thursday 12 November from 6.30 to 8.30pm.

The final webinar on Port Elliot and Boomer Beach will be on Tuesday 17 November from 6.30 to 8.30pm.

Webinar details and how to register; the draft reports; FAQs; factsheets; the online survey and other information are available online until 27 November.

Hard copies for viewing are also be available at the Customer Service Desk at the Goolwa and Strathalbyn Council offices.
