Department for Housing and Urban Development is asking for community feedback on a code amendment relating to the Sellicks Beach Growth Area.
The state government has proposed a rezone of approximately 134 hectares of land in Sellicks Beach to enable a new master-planned community that will deliver up to 1700 new homes, an activity centre as well as open space for the Sellicks Beach community.
This amendment is part of a broader effort to deliver more housing for South Australians, and community members and stakeholders are invited to learn more about it and provide feedback on the proposal.
Sellicks Beach was identified as an area for strategic growth in the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan, adopted in March 2025.
Details of the proposed rezoning can be found on the Your Say website, where feedback can also be lodged.
Hard copies can be viewed at City of Onkaparinga council offices in Aldinga, Willunga and Noarlunga and at the Aldinga Community Centre.
Community information sessions will be held on Thursday 18 September – online from 10am to 11am and at Sellicks Beach Community Hall from 5pm to 7pm. Register to join either session via the PlanSA Eventbrite page.
Consultation is now open on the draft Sellicks Beach Growth Area Joint Amendment and will close on Thursday 16 October.
