Alexandrina Council’s Climate Emergency and Environment Committee needs new blood.

The council has called for locals who are passionate about climate action and the environment to get involved as a community volunteer.

It is looking for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for voluntary community membership of its Climate Emergency and Environment Committee . 

The committee is open to residents or ratepayers in the Alexandrina region who have an active interest, specific knowledge, or skills to contribute to climate action and environmental stewardship.

The council strongly encourages First Nations People and younger people or students to apply.

Committee members support and provide advice to the council on matters relating to our environmental and climate emergency plans.

Positions are voluntary and members will be appointed until the next Council term (2026).

The deadline for submission is 9am Thursday 28 March.
