The City of Victor Harbor is calling for nominations for community representatives to serve on two of its committees.
They are the Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee and the Southern Communities Transport Scheme (SCOTS) Advisory Committee.
Advisory committees play an important role in ensuring broader community involvement in local decision making.
They are made up of a combination of councillors, council staff and community representatives and meet on a regular basis.
An information sheet is available of the City of Victor Harbor website.
The Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee was established to help the council enable people with disabilities to engage in all aspects of community life and have access to goods, services, and facilities.
More information about the committee is on the council website, where a nomination form can also be found.
The SCOTS Committee was established to help address the transport needs of disadvantaged people.
It supports a regional approach between the City of Victor Harbor and Alexandrina Council for planning, developing, and coordinating services.
More information about the committee is on the council website, where a nomination form can also be found.
Applications close at 5pm on Thursday 6 February.
