Council greening project continues

Alexandrina Council will run its Greening and Wildlife project for a second year, following success of the inaugural program in 2024.

A collaboration with Second Nature Conservancy, the project offers low cost native plants, a free workshop, a nature walk and expert advice.

The six native plants for $6 scheme aims to improving biodiversity in local gardens.

A free workshop will show how to create a native garden in pots and small spaces.

A special walk and talk event in Goolwa as part of the Nature Festival will explore local microbats.

The project will also offer expert advice on gardening for wildlife and using native plants.
