Alexandrina Council is calling for applications for its Youth Sponsorship Program.

It recognises the positive contribution young people make to the local community and the importance of providing opportunities for personal growth.

The program aims to support and encourage young people who display commitment, passion and determination in developing skills in their chosen fields.

It offers financial support for personal development activities in four areas:

• Arts, Culture, Music and Dance.
• Sport and Recreation.
• Community Participation and Leadership.
• Education and Academic Performance. 

The activities could include attending events, workshops, conferences or competitions.

Sponsorship is open to Alexandrina residents aged 12 to 25. Full guidelines can be viewed on the council website. 

Applications can also be submitted on the Alexandrina Council website; the closing date is Tuesday 30 April.
