Data from the Federal Department of Health shows several Fleurieu and Kangaroo Aged Care facilities have active outbreaks of COVID-19 in both staff and residents.
Life Care Aldinga Beach Court facility has 18 residents and 10 staff members with COVID-19 and Eldercare at Seaford has 34 residents and 26 staff members affected.
Port Elliot’s Resthaven home has 6 residents and 19 staff members listed as currently infected.
On Kangaroo Island the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network has put a temporary ban on visitors in place, to both the Carnarvon and Anchusa Residential Aged Care Facilities on Kangaroo Island due to their Covid cases.
Visitors can seek an exemption to the ban under compassionate grounds.
Residents in the facilities are being given Rapid Antigen Tests daily and staff have begun wearing full PPE.
SA Health reported 2,767 new cases of COVID-19 in South Australia today (Saturday 30 July).
One woman in her 50s, a man in his 70s, and two men in their 80s, who tested positive for COVID-19 passed away during the 24 hour reporting period.
Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island facilities listed as having current outbreaks as at 8am Friday 29 July.
