Crash and fire alarm snarl the Vale's Main Street

The Main Street of McLaren Vale has been hit by double drama this lunchtime, Friday 25 November, with a car catching through a wall and a fire alarm in a wine bar.


At 12.17pm The Country Fire Service (CFS) responded to reports of a structure fire at Bodega, 158 Main Road, McLaren Vale.


Then at 12.30pm the CFS was called to the scene of a car crashing through the wall of a gym at 112 Main Road, McLaren Vale, with a person possibly trapped in the vehicle.


There has been major traffic disruption and drivers are advised to avoid the area.


The gym, 24 Fit has closed until further notice while the damage is assessed. They reported on Facebook that no-one was hurt.
