The Great Southern Football League Women (GSFLW) held their Open Women’s and Under 17 Girls awards last night at the Mount Compass Football Club and it was a big night for a few of the Bulldogs ladies! 


The Open Women’s Best & Fairest was won by Mount Compass’ Demi Sharp who polled 23 votes to win from her Bulldogs teammate Amy Taylor, who finished with 19 votes. Goolwa/Port Elliot’s Rachel Searle finished third with 17 votes. Sheena Peters from McLaren kicked 34 goals to win the GSFLW goal kicking award.


The under 17 Girls Best & Fairest was won by Shae Archbold of Willunga who polled a whopping 28 votes to win by three votes from Yankalilla’s Jemma Ellis who finished with 25 votes. Jaimee Millard from Victor Harbor finished third with 16 votes. There was a tie in the goal kicking award with Jessica Harris (Willunga) and Kiahni Russell (Mount Compass) kicking 30 goals each.
