The Viva Italia Book and Movie Club will kick off at Aldinga Library on Saturday 27 November.
Those who love Italy can celebrate Italian literature and film with Anna Henwood from 10.30am to 12 noon on the last Saturday morning of each month.
The club will read the English translation of a classic Italian novel one month and watch the film adaptation the next.
No knowledge of Italian is needed, just a passion for literature, film and all things Italian.
This session will screen the movie I'm Not Scared, by Niccolo Ammaniti.
Anna Henwood is an educator with experience across Australia as well as overseas.
She was awarded a Masters of Modern Languages Education from the University of Melbourne and has collaborated with the Department of Education Victoria (DETV) and Modern Languages Teachers Association of Victoria to publish a children’s book in Italian, Galileo Galilei.
Anna is also a trained musician and following her completion of music studies in Australia, her passion drove her to study flute at the Italian Flute Academy in Rome.
Her love for the Italian language, film, books, music and education are what enable her to bring creative insights and inspiration to this unique book-film club.
