The Currency Creek arboretum will offer free guided tours to celebrate National Eucalypt Day.

They will be part of the arboretum’s upcoming Open Days next Saturday and Sunday, 26 and 26 September from 9am to 4.30pm.

Choose from a one hour or extended two hour guided tour of the arboretum, conducted by eucalypt expert and arboretum curator Dean Nicolle.

The tours will begin twice daily at 10am and 2pm. Don't forget a hat and good walking shoes.

Currency Creek Arboretum boasts the world’s largest collection of eucalypt species, with over 800 species and over 8000 individual trees planted across 30 hectares.

The open days will also offer Eucalypt book sales and Eucalypt seedling sales of rare and unusual species.

Meet at Currency Creek Arboretum - follow the signs from Adelaide Place, which joins Alexandrina Road (the Goolwa to Strathalbyn road) about 1.5 km north of Currency Creek.
