As part of the upcoming Nature Festival, Goolwa Library will offer a free workshop on local microbat species on the evening of Wednesday 2 October.
Dr Monika Rhodes and Dr Martin Rhodes will give a short presentation and then lead a walk to explore the world of bats and spot them foraging.
The family-friendly session requires and torch and sturdy shoes and will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Supported by Green Adelaide, this event is offered by Second Nature Conservancy and Alexandrina Council. Bookings are essential online.
From birds, to beaches to bush tucker, the nature festival runs from 28 September to 13 October across South Australia, with workshops and field trips exploring the natural world.
Most events are free to attend; Fleurieu locations include Aldinga Beach, Goolwa library, Hindmarsh Island, Second Valley, Sellicks, Victor Harbor library, Willunga railway station, Yankalilla library and The Sanctuary on the Finniss River at Yundi.
