Discover robotics in the library

In the last couple of weeks of the school holidays the Victor Harbor library will offer three introductory robotics workshops for young people who might be interested.

The one hour session gives a taste-tester and introduction to the Arduino microprocessor and programming using ArduBlock, a ‘drag and drop’ interface.

The workshop also teaches the basics of programming and unravels some of the jargon around programming language.

It can provide a taste test for an eight-week Beginners 1 course for those who enjoy the session and would like to learn more.

No previous experience is needed, there is no age limitation and all equipment is provided.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate with their children.

The Victor Harbor Library is subsidising the robotics workshops so the cost is $15. Bookings essential via Humantix.

They will be held at the library, at the Civic Centre on Bay Road on Saturday 15, 22 and 29 January from 10am to 11am.
