The Aldinga Bay Residents Association will host a public meeting to discuss the future of the region’s wetlands on Monday 19 May.
It will be held at the Sellicks Beach Community Hall at 7.30pm.
Senior wetland ecologist Ben Taylor will speak about taking steps towards hydrological restoration of the Washpool.
Much of the Washpool is part of the Aldinga Conservation Park, administered by the Department of Environment and Water.
The 340-hectare park was proclaimed in January 2022, consolidating several culturally and environmentally significant parcels of conservation land.
More information about the Aldinga Conservation Park can be found on the DEW website.
