Mayor Moira Jenkins will host a doggy day out at the Victor Harbor dog park on Thursday 31 August.
All local canines are invited along to mark the final day for annual dog registrations and the start of spring.
They can take their own dog toys or play with those provided at the park.
For those who have left it to the last minute there will be an opportunity to register furry friends with the help of the council’s Public Safety Team.
Woofing and wagging will be welcomed at this free event, from 10am to 12noon at the dog park on Oval Park Road.
It is compulsory for all dogs aged three months or over to be registered by 31 August.
Pet owners can complete their registrations or renewals online at Dogs and Cats Online.
