Drink driver blows 0.166 at Mclaren Vale

A man has lost his licence after being caught drink driving last night.


Just after 8.30pm on Wednesday 15 October, police observed a Kia sedan travelling on Stump Road and saw that the car fail to give way to another car when turning onto Victor Harbor Road.


The driver a 34-year-old man from Moana was submitted to a breath test and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.166 – more than three times the legal limit.


The driver was reported for drink driving, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28-days.


He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
