A Strathalbyn man blew nearly seven times the legal limit at Milang last night.

Police were called by a concerned member of the public who reported seeing an intoxicated man get into his car at Milang about 6pm on Wednesday 13 August.

Police located and pulled over the vehicle about 30 minutes later on Luard Street, Milang.

The driver, a 45-year-old Strathalbyn man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.336.

He was reported for drink driving and issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

His vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
