A drink-driver has been caught in the middle of the day at Victor Harbor.

It will be alleged that about 12.30pm today (Friday 27 October), police stopped a white Mitsubishi ute on Eyre Terrace in relation to traffic offences.

The driver, a 48-year-old Blewitt Springs man underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.143.

He was reported for drink-driving and failing to stop at a stop sign. He was issued a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Police will continue to target drivers under the influence throughout the weekend at all hours of the day and night.

Remember, one drink could cost more than you think.
