A high range drink driver was caught after crashing her car at Goolwa last night.

Just before 7pm on Saturday 4 February police were called to Partridge Street after a Hyundai travelling north crashed into a fence.

Police breath tested the driver, a 63-year-old local woman, who allegedly returned a positive result of 0.230 – over four times the limit.

The woman was reported for drink driving and driving without due care, and lost her licence on the spot for 12 months.

Her car was towed from the scene and impounded for 28 days. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
