The Fleurieu now has a drive-through COVID-19 testing service.


From today (Thursday 6 August), the service will operate from Aldinga GP Plus clinic at Aldinga Shopping Centre, located at 1 Pridham Boulevard, Aldinga.


The service is open every day from 8am-4pm and appointments or GP referrals are not required.


There are already COVID-19 Clinics at the Southern Fleurieu Health Centre, 56 Bay Road, Victor Harbor, and Kangaroo Island Health Service’s Kingscote Community Health Building, 3 Esplanade, Kingscote.


The Victor Harbor clinic is located in the building next to the Flinders University Building, which is accessible from Bay Road. It operates seven days a week, from 9am-5pm (closed between midday and 1pm). No appointment or GP referral is required. For more information phone  8552 0500.


Meanwhile, the Kangaroo Island clinic operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9.30am to 1.30pm. A GP referral is required and appointments can be arranged through the GP practice, with capacity for walk-ins during operating hours. For more information phone 8553 4200.


Testing is also available for southern and Fleurieu residents and visitors at Flinders Medical Centre, Bedford Park.


According to SA Health, anyone with the following symptoms should get tested:


  • fever OR chills (with no alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • runny nose
  • shortness of breath
  • loss of taste and smell.


There are also certain testing requirements for certain people entering SA (who are allowed to do so).
