A driver involved in a head-on crash at Wirrina Cove over the weekend has been arrested.
The collision between a Toyota SUV and Audi sedan occurred on Main South Road, Wirrina Cove about 10.30am on Sunday 16 October.
The Toyota driver, a 74-year-old man from Belgium and his passenger, a 73-year-old woman also from Belgium were taken to the Flinders medical Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
The Audi driver, a 46-year-old man from Dover Gardens and his passenger, a 55-year-old Woodcroft man were also taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
Main South Road was closed for several hours while emergency services remained at the scene.
As a result of investigations, today police arrested the 74-year-old Belgian man and charged him with aggravated driving without due care. He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.
