An 82-year-old man from Hindmarsh Island has been reported following a serious crash in Victor Harbor earlier this year.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Crozier Road and Lindsay Street just after 11am on Saturday, 11 January, after a collision between a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Toyota SUV.

The motorcyclist, a 65-year-old local man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

Following an investigation by Hills Fleurieu Highway Patrol, the SUV driver has been reported for causing serious harm by careless use of a vehicle. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
