Kangaroo Island's Dudley Trail Master Plan is now open for community consultation.

The proposed trail is a 3-day/2-night 38km walking trail that links Penneshaw on the Dudley Peninsula to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, South Australia's oldest lighthouse.

It is a mainly coastal walk and will become the island’s first Public Private partnership trail, crossing Conservation Parks, coastal reserves and private land.

Community consultation sessions are planned in townships across the island on dates to be advised.

Funding of $4 million has been allocated through the Regional Recovery Partnerships Program, with stage one of the plan to be delivered by the Kangaroo Island Tourism Alliance.
