Eagles fly up to third spot on the KI Football ladder

Dudley United moved up to third spot on the ladder with a comfortable 60-point win against Parndana during round 14 action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) at Parndana yesterday. Sam Willson kicked six goals for the Eagles as they won 17.15 (117) to 9.3 (57). Colton Trethewey (4) and James Davis (3) were the leading goalkickers for the Roosters. Best players for Dudley United included Keenan Jacobs, Tait Florance, Sam Willson, Adam Terrell and Ryan Boers, while best players for Parndana were Colton Trethewey, Trad McMulkin, Shannon Davis, James Davis and Eli Kuchel.


Wisanger has warmed up for finals action in three weeks time with a tight two-point win against reigning premier Kingscote yesterday. The Panthers led by a handy 24 points at halftime, before Kingscote worked their way back into the game, but ultimately Wisanger triumphed 12.7 (79) to 11.11 (77). Luke Shurven kicked three goals for Wisanger, while Lachie Ingerson kicked four majors for Kingscote. Brok Viney-Obst, Luke Shurven, Jason Fryar, Luke Bowd and Samuel Clifford were named best for Wisanger. Kingscote was best served by Frank Colman, Riley Puckridge, Rory Lovering, Declan Hardy-Corby and Thomas Mitchell.
