Eastern Zone has won both the Men’s and Women’s titles at the SA Country Football Championships held at Encounter Bay and Victor Harbor this weekend. Eastern also took out the major individual awards with Joel Parker-Boers (Hahndorf) winning the Don McSweeney medal as the best player in the Men’s competition, while Sarah Campbell (Blackwood) was named Women’s player of the championship.

Southern Zone (Great Southern/Southern/Kangaroo Island) finished fourth in the Men’s and fifth in the Women’s competition. Several players from the Southern teams made the ‘team of the championships’. They were Luke Mitton, Sam Kennedy, Jess Kirk, Phillipa Worthley and Kalani Bates.
