Gardens can be both productive and beautiful and Grow it Local online will offer a session on Elegant Edible Gardening to show how this can be achieved.

An expert gardener will answer questions about creating an edible garden that is gorgeous to look at, as well as delicious to eat, on Saturday 16 April.

The free session offers the chance to learn about growing a range of beautiful edible flowers that are vital to a healthy veggie garden.

It will also cover selecting plants that attract beneficial insects to the veggie patch to help protect crops; uncovering the hidden beauty in every edible; and tips for designing a veggie garden that is elegant as well as tasty and productive.

Gardeners will be able to post any patch or home growing related questions in the event link and the presenter will do their best to answer these queries during the live session. 

The session will run from 2.30 to 3.30pm. Register to join in at Grow it Local.

Sustainable Onkaparinga offers these digital gardening workshops in partnership between Green Adelaide, SA councils and Grow it Local. 

Future sessions will include How to grow food in pots on14 May; Sweet Soil with the hungry gardener, Fabio Capomolla, on 28 May; and Vertical Veggies with Sophie Thomson on 7 June.
