Victor Harbor locals say they have never seen the parking situation around the Encounter Bay boat ramp as bad as it was on Sunday.
The traffic problems around the ramp have become perennial issues around school and public holidays.
Victor Harbor and Cape Jervis are current hotspots for bluefin tuna with some great catches being shared on social media.
This is causing an increase in demand outside of the traditional peak times.
This video posted to the Victor Harbor Fishing facebook group shows cars and trailers parked alongside the up and down tracks of the Bluff loop road.
Victor Harbor Mayor Moira Jenkins commented under the Facebook post that she had gone to see the situation for herself and had met with boaties last week to discuss the parking problem.
She commented, “If we could have sorted it we would have but it is a very hard one!”
“Can’t build any more parks by ramp – State Heritage area now.”
“All suggestions welcome.”
