Getting financial reporting organised for the new financial year was the focus for the latest Women in Business Regional Network lunch for the McLaren Vale/Southern Suburbs area.
Entrepreneurial women gathered at Myponga's Smiling Samoyed Brewery on Monday 13 July to hear from Samantha Docking of BOSS (Business Office Support Services). Sam runs her own bookkeeping and business systems service based in Port Lincoln and also travels the state training others in digital programs, including Xero.
While acknowledging that different businesses had different needs in terms of their accounting systems, Sam outlined the many benefits of having cloud-based accounting programs such as Xero which now linked with HubSpot to eliminate much of the data entry which can sap the valuable time of business owners.
The next McLaren Vale/Southern Suburbs function will be a dinner at The Meeting Place McLaren Vale on Monday 24 August, when Rommie Corso of Hardshell Publishing will share a beginner's guide to getting published.
The Women in Business Regional Network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business. You don’t have to be a member to attend events but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.com.au
