Entries are now open for the 2022 Victor Harbor Art Show which boasts a $12 500 Best of Show prize.
The Show usually attracts around 10 000 visitors and the works are displayed in a marquee at Warland Reserve. It will be open from Saturday January 15 to Saturday January 22.
It’s South Australia’s largest outdoor art exhibition and attracts over 10 000 visitors and hundreds of interstate and local entries.
The Show is a Rotary Club of Victor Harbor project and the organisers are encouraging people to enter and potentially make some money after a year of being locked down or unable to socialise as normal.
There will also be two inaugural Indigenous Art Prizes of $5000 and $2000 with a total of $34 550 in prize money is on offer.
There are also six youth awards and an award for best sculpture in the show with a prize of $1000. The best painting of Australian native animals and birds will be awarded $750.
Entries close on November 30 and artists will be notified in mid-December if their work has been accepted.
