Fleurieu App

TWO local businesses have teamed up to promote the local businesses and attractions of the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island that support you.
Fleurieu App owner and operator Susie Williams says it makes sense to partner with Jane Harris and the team from Kangaroo Island Connect (KIC) to help ‘share the love’.
KIC leads the way on pricing, comfort and convenience for getting to and from Kangaroo Island - and has dropped the passenger price by 47 per cent, challenging preconceived notions that travelling to and from KI is expensive and difficult.
Using the new KIC Club Pass, passengers are able to effectively travel to and from KI for free, when they use their Kic Club Pass to receive discounts at listed KI and Fleurieu participating businesses.
“I love the concept that Jane has put together, encouraging all our small businesses around the region to reach out and support each other,” Susie says.
“When Jane reached out to me and explained what she was putting in place, we quickly got our heads together to find a way that the Fleurieu App could help make it work and help people to ‘shop local’”.
The Fleurieu App has been live since August last year and offers all Fleurieu & KI - right at your fingertips.
To date, it has over 6000 downloads from people looking to get all the latest in news, sport, and lifestyle content from across the region.
The app also provides a list of businesses involved in the KIC Club discount scheme.
Just look for the ‘Things to do’ button in the Fleurieu App - it will take you through to everything happening across the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island, along with a special KIC Club button explaining more about the pass.
Businesses partnering with KIC and the Fleurieu App include Accommodation, Activities & Experiences, Dining, Cellar Doors, Natural Attractions and Retail.
Jane says her company's aim is to better connect the Fleurieu Peninsula with Kangaroo Island while providing the best service to and from KI.
“We all need to start thinking local, travelling slowly and leaning into our friendships and family,” she says.
“Let's start by enjoying the things international tourists travel halfway around the world to see and do in South Australia.
“Instead of tearing down Main South Road to Cape Jervis, make a day of the trip to or from the ferry. Visit some of the great attractions at McLaren Vale, Goolwa, Victor Harbor, Myponga, Willunga, Carrickalinga, Cape Jervis and many others”.
