City of Onkaparinga is proposing a new promenade location for an expanded temporary pop-up activation in Port Noarlunga this summer.
The new site is 40 metres north of the previous site and is significantly larger.
It forms part of the ENCORE Summer Activation Program and is produced by the Port Noarlunga Hotel.
The council says this activation is designed to attract both locals and tourists to Port Noarlunga, activating the sandy beach and promenade with unique seating, food, and beverage offerings.
“The focus is on creating relaxed, memorable experiences by the ocean, the heart of what makes Port Noarlunga special.
“Throughout the season, the space will host a variety of sub-events that celebrate the area’s diverse offerings with opportunities for local service providers to trial new ideas.”
“Local community groups will be offered dedicated spaces for events and activations, and the program will feature live music, local artists, wellness sessions like sunset yoga and other unique experiences.
“Rather than a party atmosphere, the activation promotes relaxation and connection to the natural beauty of the foreshore. Responsible service will be a priority, with drinks contained within the designated area.”
The council has called for community feedback on the proposed pop-up, which will remain open until 19 October. Find more details and a map on the Your Say Onkaparinga page.
