Falcons & Cobras win in first week of SFLW finals

Flagstaff Hill moved through to next Sunday’s second semi-final after defeating Port Noarlunga by 11 points in the qualifying final of the Southern Football League Women’s (SFLW) competition at Ironbank today. The Falcons led at every change to win 5.10 (40) to 2.11 (29). Jessica Couch and Amber Cloughessy kicked two goals each for Flagstaff Hill, while their best players were Tiana Lush, Melanie Koster, Emma Hodgson, Chloe Meyers, Elise Winton and Brooke Watson. Port Noarlunga was best served by Zoe Flesfadar, Rubi Sutton, Megan Weetra, Carli Morton, Isabella Seed and Dakotah Buckskin.


Cove won their way through to week two of the finals after a comfortable 45-point win against Hackham in the elimination final at Morphett Vale today. The Cobras led throughout to win 6.9 (45) to 0.0 (0). Angelique Dean kicked two goals for Cove, while their best players were Dana O'Brien, Dean, Kate Galley, Jaime Norup, Ashleigh Need and Rebecca O’Shaughnessy. Best for Hackham included Alana Browne, Claire Wheeler, Charlotte Carter, Nevara Richards, Alisha MacFadyen and Kiah Smith.
