Falcons quest for fourth consecutive flag begins in SFLFlagstaff Hill are aiming at four consecutive premierships when the Southern Football League finals get underway this weekend.

Qualifying Final (2.30pm Saturday 31 August @ Aldinga)

Reigning premier Flagstaff Hill start their quest for a fourth consecutive flag when they clash with Christies Beach at Aldinga tomorrow. The Falcons have been in great form lately winning their past six games with their only two losses for the season coming against the undefeated Noarlunga. Christies Beach started the season on fire winning their first six games but have had a rough end to the season with losses to Flagstaff Hill (57 points) and Noarlunga (86 points) to finish the minor round. The Falcons have plenty of avenues to goal with five players kicking 20 or more goals for the season while Christies have relied on the competitions leading goalkicker Blake Carter, who has had an excellent season kicking 72 goals from 14 games. It’s hard to go past the Falcons in this one. My tip...Flagstaff Hill by 29 points.

Elimination Final (2.30pm Sunday 1 September @ Port Noarlunga)

Port Noarlunga will start favourite against Reynella in the Elimination Final which will be played on the Cockle Divers home ground at Port Noarlunga. The teams clashed twice during the minor round with Port Noarlunga getting the chocolates on both occasions by 39 points in round seven and more recently by 22 points in round 16. Jake Veide and Ryan Kelly have had excellent seasons for the Cockle Divers along with leading goal kicker Dylan Williams who has slotted 30 goals. The WIne Flies have been well served by Bailey Marshman and Ryan Mahony and these two will have to be at their best for Reynella to advance. My tip...Port Noarlunga by 23 points.
