Agriculture Kangaroo Island will host a Farm Field Day next Tuesday 25 March at Stokes Bay, where the KI Regional Drought Plan will be officially launched.
Topics up for discussion include smart water management on-farm, with dam design and graded catchments.
Organisers will share five key survival strategies for keeping sheep alive, before and after rain.
There will also be an examination of carbon farming, looking into its opportunities and benefits.
It will run from 2.30pm to 7.30pm and will include a free community barbecue. Today, Friday 21 March, is the last day to RSVP to PIRSA by calling 0419 846 204.
The day is jointly funded through the federal government Future Drought Fund and the state government.
