Hear from local farmers about how they're giving back to the land and reaping social, ecological and economic benefits at the Regenerative Farming on the Fleurieu event this weekend.


The event, being held by community group Ideas on the Fleurieu, will be held on Sunday 10 November, from noon to 4pm, at Mount Compass Football Club.


Regenerative farming is thought to be one of our best bets against climate change and a suite of other social and ecological challenges.

There will also be live music, drinks available for purchase over the bar, and food from Real Food Life.


According to its website, Ideas on the Fleurieu is a community-led thinktank bringing people together from across the Fleurieu Peninsula to voice their vision and ideas for our beautiful region.This is done via a series of events that shine a light on local thinkers, creators, makers and dreamers. Other themed events have been Eco Tourism on the Fleurieu, and Youth Shaping Our Future. The group has also established a chapter of the Awesome Foundation to help fund people's awesome ideas.

The event is sponsored by the Ranges to River NRM Group through funding from the SA Murray-Darling Basin NRM Board and NRM levies.
