A man has died following a fatal crash at Aldinga this morning.

Just before 7.30am on Sunday 21 November, police and emergency services were called to Port Road at Aldinga, after a car crashed into a tree and caught fire.  The driver and sole occupant, a 68-year-old local man, sadly died at the scene.

Major Crash officers attended the scene and are investigating the cause of the collision.

Port Road was closed to all traffic for a number of hours but has since reopened.

The man’s death is the 90th life lost on South Australian roads this year compared to 79 at the same time last year.
